The Sabres came out to a very bad start against the Golden Sports,
going down 4-1 after the first period of play. Greg Nordick got the only
goal of the period, and later added two more assists for a 3 point game.
After goals by Stewart Sweda, Darren Hayes and Chuck Wilson, the Sabres
got back to within one goal in the third. But the Golden Sports were able
to hold off the attack for the last 8 minutes and scored an empty net goal
with 8 seconds to go.
